Kelly Hughes Berardi, Ph.D.

Dr. Kelly Hughes Berardi is a licensed psychologist in CA (21984), WA (PY60272993), and OR ().  She received her M.S. in Counseling Psychology and Ph.D. in Clinical/Counseling/School Psychology with a focus in behavioral medicine and trauma at Utah State University. She completed her APA accredited internship at the San Diego VA Healthcare System and University of California San Diego School of Medicine, as well as a two-year trauma focused postdoctoral fellowship at the San Diego VA. Prior to private practice she worked as a psychologist at the San Diego VA and has held an adjunct faculty position at UCSD.

Dr. Hughes Berardi has had extensive training in trauma related treatments including Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She specializes in evidence-based therapy including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness based treatments.

She has more than a decade of experience treating adults who struggle with generalized anxiety, panic, trauma, depression, eating issues, relationship stress, and stresses of every day life. She is particularly interested in women’s issues, including the life transitions of motherhood, career changes, and menopause. In her free time, she loves to get outside, hike, snowboard, camp, read, and spend quality time with family, friends, and her two small pups.
